If you choose to provide the Center for Environmental and Geographical Science with personal information—such as by completing a Subscribe or Contact form with your email address—the Center will use that information only to respond to your message or request. The Center will share the information you provide only with another entity if your inquiry relates to that entity, or as otherwise required by law. The Center does not create individual profiles or share information with private organizations. The Center for Environmental and Geographical Science website does not collect information for commercial marketing purposes.

For site management, information is collected for statistical purposes only. The Center collects summary statistics to assess which information is of most and least interest, to help determine technical design specifications, and to identify system performance or problem areas.

Unauthorized attempts to upload information or alter information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986, the Identity Theft Enforcement and Restitution Act of 2008, and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
